In an interview, our friend, listener and Dan's cover artist Casey Chalem Anderson mentions Our Hamptons in relation to her ongoing work on a series of paintings devoted to Towd Point, a subject that will be covered in an upcoming episode with Irwin, Esperanza, and a special guest.. Following is an excerpt:
What upcoming art events, exhibitions or other projects are you working toward now?
I have plans to exhibit the new paintings, some of them quite large, when I get farther along. Right now, I’m focused entirely on the Towd Point project; some of the works are painted in my studio and some are created on location.
I’m working with Irwin Levy and Esperanza Leon from the podcast “Our Hamptons.” They will have an upcoming show on Towd Point — fun stories about what it was like years ago and some of the history of the place. I love to learn everything I can about this place that I love. It all goes into the paintings!

The preservation, history and soul of the East End have come to a new platform. The Hamptons is a special place to many, and Irwin Levy and Esperanza León bring their love for this area to the forefront in their new podcast, Our Hamptons. Levy and León have a unique take for their podcast: they encapsulate the Hamptons’ deep-rooted sense of place. As two East Hampton residents, Levy and León have been in the heart of that history for years, and they designed this podcast to showcase their passion.

On May 10, East Hampton residents Esperanza Leon and Irwin Levy launched “Our Hamptons,” a podcast about history and folklore, preservation and sense of place. The hosts invite listeners to eavesdrop on their conversations celebrating East End splendor while acknowledging its challenges.
Leon grew up in East Hampton and has lived on the East End most of her life. An art historian with Venezuelan and Spanish roots, she established SOLAR in 2001, a gallery devoted to Latin American Art in East Hampton. A passion for history and love of where she lives led to serving on East Hampton Town’s Architectural Review Board and the creation in 2021 of the Wainscott Heritage Project. She lives in Wainscott with her husband, two children, two dogs and a goldfish.
Levy has been a Springs resident since 1989. He is President of the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society, and often collaborates on historical walks with like-minded organizations. He was appointed by the East Hampton Town Board to serve on both the Nature Preserve and Springs Citizens Advisory Committees. He also volunteers as a docent at LongHouse Reserve.
Find “Our Hamptons” wherever you get your podcasts.

...Next month will be a big one for Mr. Levy. He and Ms. Leon are starting a podcast together called “Our Hamptons,” to talk about “the missions of these organizations and the development pressures. Hopefully, it’ll be interesting enough for people to want to drop in on.”
